Into the Deep is the newest exhibition at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Featuring over 50 species of deep-sea animals, the exhibition introduces guests to a magical world normally beyond their reach. The guest's journey through this 5000 sq ft exhibition begins at the surface of the ocean, where they learn about the scientists and researchers of the deep sea, and enter a 360-degree theatre that introduces the fantastic animals and environments of the deep sea. As they continue they descend into the ocean's midwater where they view never before seen jellies and learn about the largest daily migration of animals on earth. Guests then move on to the seafloor and through interactive experiences, live animals, and custom-designed rock work environments, the guests marvel at the unique and bizarre biodiversity of our deep ocean.
